somewhere in the clouds

grieving the loss of someone who you might have taken for granted is an extremely complex process. there are okay days, followed by horrible days where it feels like you’re in a permanent downwards spiral.

some days, you reminisce on the good memories you shared with that person. other days, anxiety and sadness completely consume you as you endlessly consider the “what if’s” and unknowns that you will never have closure with.

i would like to think that regardless of how heartbreaking it might be, that i (and anyone else) is not alone in the process. normalize not being okay for a while. normalize having to get therapy just so you can cope with the overwhelming amount of emotion you feel. and if you’re on the outside looking in, i can only hope that this music is able to evoke some emotions and thoughts to help you be there for those close by who might be experiencing loss themselves

it’s going to take a long time but i’m trying my best every day to become more okay with it. it’s been hard. making this music has been therapeutic. thank you to everyone who waited for my new music to be released. i would appreciate if you listened to it with an open mind and heart- close your eyes for 8 minutes, breathe, and just feel.
